This album was released in 1981 by Karlheinz Stockhausen, one of Germany's leading contemporary musicians, who began with typical serie rhythms and continued to develop into group music, moment forms, and forme techniques, as well as many live electronic works. Music for the stage production "Hikari - Calendar Year" by the Music Department of the Imperial Household Agency, commissioned by Toshiro Kido, a specialist and director of the National Theatre of Japan.
