Singer-songwriter Kathy Smith from California, USA, gained recognition after performing at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970, held in Afton Down on the western side of the Isle of Wight, England, in the summer of 1970. She went on to release only two albums on Richie Havens’ label, Stormy Forest. This is her second album, released in 1971. Backed by an impressive lineup including Don Alias, Jan Hammer, Tony Levin, and Jeremy Steig, the album showcases Smith’s delicate vocals set against arrangements that blend folk and country with rich elements of jazz and rock. It’s a truly outstanding singer-songwriter work—highly recommended from start to finish. Original U.S. pressing.
There is one scratch from the end of A1 to the middle of A2, where there is some click noise.
