Recorded at the Village Vanguard in New York with ECM’s Scandinavian contingent, including Jan Garbarek (ts, ss), Palle Danielsson (b), and Jon Christensen (ds). Highlights include A1, featuring Jarrett’s brilliant piano unfolding in freely flowing improvisations over a relaxed groove, and C1, an exhilarating performance that stretches beyond 30 minutes. A superb live recording that vividly captures the tension, intensity, and charged atmosphere of the performance. Japanese pressing released by Trio Records.
