In the mid-1960s, Keith Jarrett made his debut with Art Blakey's group Jazz Mesenger, and in the 1970s, while working with Miles Davis, he met ECM's owner, Manfred Eicher, and since then, as a signature artist of ECM, he has released numerous masterpieces and gained worldwide recognition. This album was released in 1975, and recorded live at a concert in Cologne, Germany, the album features a completely improvised performance that follows his 1973 "Solo Concert. This is a performance in which the unique sound world of energetically creating beautiful melodies is most evident, and has become a historical masterpiece. It is simply wonderful. Original German pressing.
