A 1978 leader album by Canadian trumpeter Kenny Wheeler, who has participated in numerous ECM works, including Azimuth. This sextet features regular ECM artists Jan Garbarek (ts, ss), John Abercrombie (g), Dave Holland (b), Jack DeJohnette (dr), and Ralph Towner (g). It's a masterpiece of lyrical contemporary jazz, including A2, which features gentle, floating sounds like a thin mist, and B1, which has wonderful dynamic development and a spiritual atmosphere. High-quality Japanese pressing released by Trio Records.
