1976's Solo album by American bassist Kent Carter, who has also played with Steve Lacy, Andrea Centazzo and Takashi Kako, as well as in Giorgio Gaslini's group and in Trevor Watts's Amagram. French saxophonist Claude Bernard joins him on this album. A little-known work, but very fine, layering melodies on the edge of dissonance with elements of contemporary music and chamber music. A5, a deep soundscape with cello and bass alone, is a must for ECM lovers, while B2, dedicated to Cannonball Adderly, is a shimmering reverberation of the highest order. Other tracks include a Steve Lacy-inspired track.

A5: Ballad for Michala
B2: Song for Cannnball
