This is a double album released in 1983 by Norwegian pianist Ketil Bjornstad, who has been active for a long time since the early 70s, has been with ECM since the 90s and has written over 20 books as an author. It is probably a work with some kind of concept, but details are unknown. The album is a romantic tale that develops by incorporating all kinds of musical styles, from synthesised, floating new age to symphonic progressive rock, discotic fusion and folky pop featuring Norwegian vocals. It's a storybook, and a remarkable example of Bjornstad's versatility. The sound production is also very good. It's a fairy tale from a different wonderland to neighbouring Sweden's Ralph Lundsten. Recommended.
