This is an album released in 1984 by Norwegian pianist Ketil Bjornstad, who has been active since the early 70's and has been a member of ECM since the 90's. He has also authored more than 20 books. This is a solo piano album of 12 pieces on the theme of "Preludes. The album includes a variety of pieces, from pieces with a hint of Erik Stie and Claude Debussy influence, to emotional pieces that are reminiscent of Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea, etc. Bjornstad's classical and jazz backgrounds are fully expressed in his writing, and his extremely beautiful playing can be enjoyed from start to finish. This is a highly recommended album that should also be appreciated as environmental music.
