This is the third solo album by Kyozo Nishioka, who made his record debut as a member of The Dylan in 1972 and has since left behind a body of masterpieces devoted to the old American sound. The album was produced by Haruomi Hosono, with the full support of Tin Pan Alley and Huckleback led by Shigeru Suzuki, and featured many musicians associated with the band, including Hiroshi Sato, Shigetoya Hamaguchi, and Mari Kaneko. The groovy sound, which absorbed New Orleans, soul, funk, country, rock steady, etc., and sublimated it into its own unique style, can be considered an extra chapter in Haruomi Hosono's tropical trilogy, and Nishioka's somewhat droll vocals add a nice touch. This is an interesting aspect of the '70s Japanese artists.
