Larry Coryell
The Real Great Escape
Vanguard (US)
sleeve : EX(very slightly color-faded.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)

An album released in 1973 by American guitarist Larry Coryell, a master of astonishing technique capable of handling everything from psychedelic to classical styles. Joining him are crossover musicians such as Mike Mandel (piano, synth), Steve Marcus (ts, ss), Mervin Bronson (bass), and Harry Wilkenson (drums). Opening with A1, a groovy rock track where Coryell’s vocals and steadily intensifying development create a thrilling drive, the record as a whole showcases a rock sensibility deeply infused with blues, country, and folk elements. Likely a Santa Maria pressing, it bears a “B” etching above the runout inscription on side B.

A1: The Real Great Escape
A2: Are You Too Clever
