Les Percussions de Strasbourg : Kazimierz Serocki / Valentin Silvestrov / Michel Puig
Continuum / Mysteres / Provisoires Agglomerats
Philips (Japan) 1974
SFX-8571 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(a lot of small spots.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good condition.)

Formed in 1962 in Strasbourg, a city on the Rhine River in northeastern France, Les Percussions de Strasbourg has been active for 60 years and has released a number of classic albums with impressive silver print and black typography on the cover. This album was released in 1969. This is the Japanese pressing released in 1974 with a different artwork. The album features Kazimierz Serocki's "Continuum," with its fine tones scattered across the sound field, Valentin Silvestrov's "Mysteres," with its floating alto flute, gongs and cymbals, and Luc Perini's tape-edited version of "Michter. The album also includes Michel Puig's "Provisoires Agglomerats," which was tape-edited by Luc Perini at the French national broadcasting studio. A superb piece of music that should go without saying.
