Les Percussions de Strasbourg, formed in 1962 in Strasbourg, a city on the Rhine River in northeastern France, has been active for 60 years and has left behind a number of classic albums with silver prints and striking black typography on the cover. This is a the Japanese edition released in 1976. This is a work featuring a composition by Francois Miroglio, a contemporary French composer. The composition is a masterful performance of two contrasting elements, static and dynamic, tense and relaxed, expanding and contracting, which are expressed like the ebb and flow of the tide, rather than opposition. The sound quality is very good, with pleasant echoes and resonances.
