This album features trumpeter Lester Bowie, leader of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, a group synonymous with free/experimental jazz, and was released on ECM in 1982, featuring Hamiet Bluiett (bs), Donald Smith (p,or), Fred Williams (b), and Phillip Wilson (ds). (bs), Donald Smith (p,or), Fred Williams (b), and Phillip Wilson (ds). The album opens with an introduction that opens with a gentle soundscape, and then A1/A2, which are Lester Bowie-esque arrangements of jazz with a love for New Orleans, the hometown of jazz, are arranged, and for a moment it seems to be a nostalgic work of early jazz, but in A3 it suddenly enters the abstract world, and in B1, it is a work of music that is a spiritual successor to Don Cherry. B1 is spiritual ethno-jazz in the vein of Don Cherry, and B3 is completely avant-garde.
