This album was released in 1980 by Los Blanco, a Latin band formed in 1960 and very popular in their native Venezuela and neighbouring countries such as Colombia and Ecuador. The album was released in Spain on Movieplay under a different title from the previous year's "La Fiesta Caliente". The percussive rhythm section, the bright horn ensemble, and the punchy vocals of the group's central singer, Cheo Matos, make for a perfect match for this album of authentic Latin music: salsa, guaracha, cumbia, plena, paso doble, and more.
