It was released from Nonesuch Explorer Series, a famous series of the American label that releases a wide range of music from classical/contemporary to folk music. It is performed by the Lu-sheng Ensemble, a group formed to introduce to the world the charm of the many masterpieces from the Shandong region, where there are many instrumental pieces. The album contains many solo and ensemble performances of various instruments, such as the huqiao, a vertical flute, and a wind instrument that sounds like a chalmera.
There is light bend on some parts of the vinyl, but it can be played no problems.
