Lucio Battisti
Anima Latina
Numero Uno (Italy) 1974
DZSLN 55675 (LP) 2nd, pressing. gatefold sleeve.
sleeve : EX-(SPSE: 1cm light tear on top.)
media : EX-/EX-(some light noise.)
This was featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound. It is a 1974 release by Lucio Battisti, one of Italy’s greatest cantautori, who continued to release exceptionally high-quality rock and pop works while updating his style with each era—and it stands as a true masterpiece. Absorbing elements of jazz, folk, rock, and soul, Battisti created a uniquely cohesive world of sound. Every track is absolutely outstanding, but A1, with its gentle beat that evokes vast landscapes and Battisti’s whisper-like vocals floating over it, is especially brilliant. Highly recommended. This is the second pressing, released in the same year as the first press.
A1: Abbracciala abbracciali Abbracciati
A3: Anonimo
B2: Due Mondi
