Luli e Lucina
Timbres Temperos
Somda (Brazil) 1986
SMD-002/86 (LP) w/insert.
sleeve : EX-(SRW, some wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly surface noise and some light click noise.)
Released in 1986, this is the third album by the female singer duo Luli and Lucia, widely known for their unique take on Brazilian acid folk. Active between 1978 and 1992, the pair left behind just four albums, all of them cult favorites. Building on the primitive Brazilian folk roots and acid-tinged folk sensibility of their first two releases, Luli & Lucinha and Amor de Mulher, this album broadens the palette with the introduction of digital synthesizers such as the Yamaha DX-7 and Roland JX-8P. The result is a sophisticated blend of adult-oriented urban pop and bossa, without losing their experimental edge. Adventurous songwriting, sharp arrangements, and beautifully executed performances throughout. An absolute must—every track comes highly recommended.
A2: Amor Maduro
A3: Pixaim
B5: Suba Na Baleia
B6: Pacto
