M' Boom Re: Percussion, a jazz percussion ensemble formed by Max Roach in 1970, released a masterpiece 2nd album in 1977 on the Japanese label Baystate Jazz Series. The album features Roy Brooks, Joe Chambers, Omar Clay, Warren Smith, and Freddie Waits. The A-side is reminiscent of the Diga Rhythm Band's classic album "Diga", but with a more percussive, african, and groove-oriented development. The B-side opens with the fine sound of metal percussion, and the tension gradually rises from the middle part of the song.
