Maki Asakawa is a singer-songwriter who started her career in the 1960's in American military camps and cabarets, and in the late 1960's was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto. The album is a live recording of the New Year's Eve concert held at Kinokuniya Hall in December 1971. The album features Asakawa’s early works as "Chichana Tokara", “Kamome”, "Pianist Wo Ute”, and more, against of excellent performances by such outstanding players as Masaru Imada (p,keys), Kunimitsu Inaba (b), Hiro Tsunoda (ds), Kosuke Ichihara (ft,per), Nobuyoshi Hagiwara (g) and Yoshihiro Sugiura (g). The album is a historical masterpiece where you can enjoy her wonderful voice. It comes with a rare limited edition booklet of the same size as the LP sleeve, which includes an introduction to the members and a poster of the live performance at Shinjuku Kinokuniya Hall.
