Maki Asakawa is a singer-songwriter who started her career in the 1960's in American military camps and cabarets, and in the late 1960's was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto. The album features Asakawa singing such early songs as "Chichana Tokikara", "Kamome", "Pianist Wo Ute", etc. against the backdrop of excellent performances by such outstanding players as Masaru Imada (p,keys), Kunimitsu Inaba (b), Hiroshi Tsunoda (ds), Kosuke Ichihara (ft,per), Nobuyoshi Hagiwara (g) and Yoshihiro Sugiura (g).
