An album released in 1978 by singer-songwriter Maki Asakawa, who began performing in U.S. military camps and cabarets in the 1960s, was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto in the late 1960s, and gained immense popularity for her live performances at "Scorpion Theater" in Shinjuku, after which she released numerous masterpiece albums. This album features live recordings from "Kyodai Seibu Kodo Vol.3 Maki Asakawa Live 'Yoru'" held at Kyoto University Seibu Kodo in 1977. It includes many of her previously released masterpieces such as "Anata Nashi De," "Sabishisa ni wa Namae ga Nai," "Uramado," "Minatomachi," and "Sore wa Spotlight de wa Nai," emotionally performed with a fresh lineup of members including Nobuyoshi Hagiwara (ac-g, el-g), Yoichiro Ikeda of Mentanpin (ac-g), Takeshi Shibuya (p), Tamio Kawabata (b), Ken Yoshida (b), Hiro Tsunoda (ds), Tadanori Konakawa (tb), and Shigeru Izumiya (el-g).
