Maki Asakawa, a singer-songwriter who started her career in the 60's at a U.S. military camp and cabaret, was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto in the late 60's, and started performing live at Sasori-za in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Her second album was released in 1971. This is a reissue from 1975. The album features many front-line jazz musicians such as Masaru Imada, Yasuo Arakawa, Seiichi Tokura, Takeshi Aoki, Sadanori Nakamure, Fumio Nanzato, and Fumiharu Murata, as well as up-and-coming musicians who were emerging at the time. The album has a different appeal from the first album, with many great songs including “Shonen”. Especially, A5 "Govinda", a cover of a Krishna hymn, is symbolic.
