Maki Asakawa was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto in the late 1960s and began performing live at “Sasori-za” in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This is the sixth album released in 1974. Recorded live at the Kanda Kyoritsu Auditorium, the album is backed by a quartet of some of Japan's finest free jazz and post-bop musicians, including Yosuke Yamashita (p), Takeo Moriyama (ds), Akira Sakata (as, cl) and Kunimitsu Inaba (b). Yosuke Yamashita also contributes four compositions. This is one of Maki Asakawa's best albums, with a particularly strong jazz flavor. B2 is the closing song of our shop.
