This is an album released in 1973 by Manolo Sanlucar, a leading contemporary flamenco guitarist who has been active from the late 1960s to the present day, and who is said to be regarded alongside Paco De Lucia in his home country. In the 1980s, Sanlucar released contemporary works featuring brass and strings, as well as progressive rock-like works, but this album, the third in a series entitled 'The World and Forms of traditional Flamenco Guitar', and features various styles of flamenco including Malaguena, Rondena, Alegrias, Serrana, and Tientos. The nostalgic melodies of the Spanish guitar, with its soft-toned nylon strings that are scratched very strongly and percussion-like, can be heard throughout the album.
