Guitarist Manuaku Waku, who was a member of Zaiko Langa Langa, the first Congolese rock rumba band that also included Papa Wemba, formed his own band, Le Grand Zaïko Wawa, after leaving Zaiko Langa Langa. This album was released in 1982 with the support of the Verckys. The album features a primitive and live rhythm section, Manuaku Waku's electric guitar with its nice riffs and occasional distortion hooks, and an interesting synthesizer with a chunky tone. The chorus work is also nice.
