This album was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. It is a solo album by synth artist and multi-instrumentalist Marc Barreca, released in 1980 on Palace of Lights, the label founded by K. Leimer—an American artist whose work has been gaining significant attention in recent years due to a wave of reissues.Barreca is also a member of Savant, a group centered around K. Leimer. The album showcases a highly original blend of floating ambient textures and experimental elements, entirely crafted with synthesizers. Clearly influenced by artists like Brian Eno and Cluster, it creates an atmospheric soundscape that beautifully captures the twilight hours at sunset, as suggested by its title. This is an outstanding release—highly recommended.
