An album released in 1980 by Unidisc, featuring French percussionist Marc Depond, who is also known for his avant-garde experimental music works as a member of the group Nptolpqsivrt. This album was created as music for the classes of African dancer Elsa Wolliaston and features a collaboration with percussionist Pierre Marcault. It contains raw, primitive African music, faithfully recreating traditional African folk rhythms. As the minimally repeated polyrhythms progress, the improvisation gradually leads the listener into a trance-like state, resulting in a stunningly authentic performance of African musical traditions. The accompanying booklet includes musical notation detailing the basic rhythmic patterns for each instrument used in the tracks.
