Marilyn Crispell, a female jazz pianist from Philadelphia, USA, who has consistently released works since her debut in the early 80's, recorded this trio album with Reggie Workman (b) and Doug James (dr) in 1988 on the British label Leo Records. It's an improvised free jazz album with a lot of interplay, but we can find a nice tune on A1. The first part opens with ocean drums and metallic percussion, followed by a quiet soundscape of plucked prepaid piano strings and fine chimes. It is very nice spiritual jazz. The sound production is also excellent, with a very raw sound that fills the space.
