The album features American jazz saxophonist Marion Brown, who was at the forefront of the jazz scene from the 1960s to 2000, and German multi-instrumentalist Gunter Hampel, who has recorded for ESP Disk and other labels and was a member of Cecil Taylor and the Art Ensemble of Chicago in their European activities. The two have left behind such masterpieces as "Gesprachsfetzen", recorded live in Munich, Germany in 1968, and "in Sommerhausen", recorded live in Würzburg, Germany in 1969, but this album features Waldron's alto saxophone and Hampel's vibraphone solos, as well as flute and percussion solos and duos by both musicians. Produced by Paul Bley, this is an excellent record, with very lyrical and moving scenography. Highly recommended.
