Marcus Stockhausen, the son of German contemporary music master Karlheinz Stockhausen, and well known for their masterful duo with Jasper Van't Hof, Aqua Sanza, released in 1980. This album was collaborated with Gary Peacock, and was released in 1989 from ECM. The quartet includes Fabrizio Ottaviucci (piano) and Zoro Babel (dr). It's an avant-garde style with a mixture of silence and turbulence, but it's a deep world with a deep and spiritual atmosphere. Lyricism is expressed through slow and rapid movements and shading. Zoro Babel's superb drumming is breathtaking, with fine cymbal and snare sounds pouring down like a squall. Original German release.
