Masahiko Togashi, the world-famous Japanese drummer and percussionist, who overcame the handicap of being paralyzed in an accident to develop his own unique style and made many famous recordings before passing away in 2007. This album was recorded in Paris in 1979. The trio album that was released as “Session in Paris Vol.1” featuring Don Cherry and Charlie Haden, was an excellent example of ethnic jazz, and this Vol. 2 features Albert Mangelsdorff (tuba), coordinated by Takashi Kako (p) and Jenny Clark (b). This is a masterpiece of experimental jazz, with its unique percussion sound that permeates the skin and the gushing interplay of the members. Paddle Wheel is one of the best sounding labels in the country.
