This is an album released in 1982 by Masahiko Togashi, the great drummer and percussionist who continued to play and create his own unique style of playing despite being paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal cord injury. This is the live session recorded at the Deutsches Kulturhaus in 1982 joined with vocalist Lauren Newton, who has performed her rare vocal talents on numerous sessions with the Frederic Rabold Crew and Vienna Art Orchestra, and bassist Peter Kowald, who has demonstrated his talent in numerous free improv sessions since the early 70's. Almost all of the music is improvised, but the interplay between the two musicians on Togashi's percussion, which is a primitive interplay of stillness and movement, is nothing short of brilliant, and the session is full of tension. Highly recommended.
