This album was released in 1983 under the name of Trio by Masaru Imada, a Japanese pianist who has produced many masterpieces for Thee Blind Mice label, including "Remember of Love" released in 1978 under the name of Quartet. The album features songs by Victor Young, Erroll Garner, Thelonius Monk, Cole Porter and his own original scores. Although he has already released some fusion-oriented works, this album presents straight-ahead modern jazz. The groovy performance with a delicate approach is excellent. I especially recommend the light and lovely samba jazz of B1.
