The first full album by Matar, a unit consisting of Adolphus Newton—known for his industrial experimental music with Clock DVA and The Anti Group alongside Steven James Turner—and industrial musician Michael Esposito, who is also a researcher of the paranormal. Built around the concept of archaeoacoustics, which explores the historical relationship between humans and sound, and the spiritual mythological beliefs of ancient cultures, this album was meticulously crafted over five years. It incorporates live binaural beat frequency recordings from Stonehenge and field recordings from the Hurlers stone circle in Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. Featuring six tracks of ancient electronic acoustics, constructed through computer modeling of field recordings and Tibetan singing bowls, this is an essential recommendation.
