This album was released in 1980 by M' Boom, a jazz percussion ensemble formed in 1970 by Max Roach. 9 percussionists including Roy Brooks, Joe Chambers, and Ray Mantilla participated in this album, and is composed of various percussion instruments without using a drum set, presenting primitive percussion music full of Afro/Latin feeling. There are some similarities with the Diga Rhythm Band, featuring Zakir Hussain and Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, but this is more organic. This is a high quality Japanese master sound recording, complete with all accessories.
