An album released in 1985 by Canadian guitarist Michael Brook—known for his extensive collaborations with Jon Hassell—and Brian Eno. It features Canadian multi-instrumentalist Daniel Lanois, who also worked with Eno and his brother Roger Eno on Apollo and The Pearl. Deeply influenced by Brook’s background in Indian music studies alongside La Monte Young, the record unfolds a richly exotic “fourth world” soundscape rivaling Hassell’s own work. A masterful blend of ambient sonics and cutting-edge experimentation, it captures a sense of both stillness and forward motion. Original UK pressing distributed by Polydor.
