Released in 1978, this is the fourth album by Michael Franks, an American singer/songwriter who has recorded a number of great AOR albums since his debut in 1973. The album is backed by an impressive cast of musicians, including Steve Gadd, Will Lee, Ralph MacDonald, Leon Pendarvis, John Tropea, Oscar Brashear, Bud Shank, and Ernie Watts. The strings are arranged by Eumir Deodato. This is a great album with a mellow and adult groove that expresses the urban atmosphere of LA in the winter season, which I would like to call AOR. No matter where you drop the needle, it's just so comfortable.
