This is a leader album by Michael Mantler, an Austrian-born jazz trumpeter who flourished in the U.S., released in 1978, featuring a quintet with Larry Coryell (g), Carla Bley (p,synth,ts), Steven Swallow (b), and Tony Williams (ds). The album features Coryell's psychedelic electric guitar, and the entire album is an experimental jazz-rock tastes that is so close to progressive rock that it is hard to believe that this album is made by a group of well-known jazz musicians. The synthesizer played by Carla Bley also sounds like European symphonic rock. It is quite aggressive.
