Mieko Hirota, who made her debut in 1961 at the age of 14 and gained popularity as a talented singer who sang jazz and R&B perfectly, released this masterpiece jazz vocal album in 1976. The album includes jazz standards, soul songs by Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye, pop songs by Paul McCartney & Wings, and original songs by Mieko Hirota. The performances by the renowned jazz musicians, Hiromasa Suzuki (el-p), Akira Ishikawa (dr-p), Ken Muraoka (ts, ss, ft), Yasushi Ichihara (dr-dr), Akira Okazawa (b), Takao Naoi (el-g), Tsunehide Matsuki (el-g), and Isao Eto (b), were also very good. A3 is a cover of Marvin Gaye's famous song, which keeps the tension gently, B1 is an uplifting cover of the jazz classic first performed by Chet Baker Quintet with Jimmy Giuffre in 1955, and the moody slow number is also excellent. The A side has slightly warped, but it plays fine.
A1: My Funny Valentine
B1: There Will Never Be Another
