This is an album released in 1978 by New Zealand jazz pianist Mike Nock, whose sensitive and beautiful playing is outstanding, including the superb Ondas, released on ECM and featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. Quartet with Michael Brecker (ts), George Mraz (b) and Al Foster (dr). The album features some uplifting, galloping hard bop, but the best is the quieter contemporary jazz on which Nock's delicate, elegant acoustic piano can be enjoyed in great detail.
