British saxophonist Mike Osborne, who was a member of the Mike Westbrook Concerts in the late 1960s and has since played with John Surman, Alan Skidmore, Harry Beckett, and many other important British musicians, released this leader album in 1977. The quintet includes Mark Charig (tp), Jeff Green (g), and Peter Nykyruj (ds), in addition to Harry Miller (b), who also participated in the famous "Border Crossing" album released in 1974. Starting with a memorable theme, A1 and B1 are fast and furious free improvisations, and A2 is a deep development where stillness and movement are intermingled with ethnic sounds. It's very cool free jazz session.
