A duo album released in 1972 by British saxophonist Mike Osborne, who was active as a member of the Mike Westbrook Concert in the late 1960s and has since played in numerous sessions with important British musicians such as John Surman, Alan Skidmore, and Harry Beckett. The album features Osborne and British pianist Stan Tracey, who also left behind the masterpiece collaboration album Sonatinas with John Surman. It includes a live recording from a performance held at Surrey Hall in Stockwell in April of the previous year. Both sides of the album present a completely free, improvised performance that unfolds in a frenzied, relentless manner, with shifts in tempo and intensity. Osborne's saxophone shows faint traces of John Coltrane's influence, while Tracey's minimalist piano playing is also outstanding.
