This is a leader album released in 1974 by Mike Osborne, an British saxophonist who was a member of the Mike Westbrook Concert in the late 1960s and has since played with many important British musicians, including John Surman, Alan Skidmore, and Harry Beckett. Recorded live with Harry Miller (b) and Louis Moholo (ds) at The Peanuts Club in London in the same year. His unique style of the alto saxophone, which is played mainly in the upper register, is impressive, and the speed of the interplay and the development of the speed that increases rapidly with the breaks is irresistible. Pentatonic phrases somewhat reminiscent of Don Cherry also appear in the latter half of the B-side. Original UK pressing with 1975 N.M.E. Jazz of the Year award sticker.
