The debut album released in 1974 by a sextet led by guitarist Mike Reinhardt, the son of German jazz guitarist Daweli Reinhardt, who was active in the 1960s. His father, Daweli, and his older brother, Bawo Reinhardt, also participated in the recording. The music follows a gypsy jazz style heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt, but are they actually related? The details are unclear, but the album features some of Django’s compositions while delivering a full set of nostalgic, folk-infused gypsy jazz.
