This is a live recording album of the Miles Davis Quintet's concert in Japan on July 14, 1964 at Kosei-Nenkin Hall in Tokyo, featuring Sam Rivers (ts), Herbie Hancock (p), Ron Carter (b), Tony Williams (ds), and others. The jazz musicians who have continued to support the backbone of Miles' sound since then participate on this album, and the fact that Sam Rivers plays tenor on this album is also unique to this period. Hancock's piano and Rivers's saxophone are a real treat to the ears
