Promo for the 1977 Japanese reissue of the album released in 1966 by the second Miles Davis Quintet, featuring Wayne Shorter (ts), Herbie Hancock (piano), Ron Carter (b) and Anthony Williams (ds). A2, scored by Miles Davis himself, is a cool, restrained performance that continues the modal jazz style he established on the classic Kind of Blue, while B2, "Freedom Jazz Dance," originally composed by Eddie Harris, is a polyrhythmic piece that foreshadows the electrifying Miles Davis to come in a few years. Eddie Harris's original B2 "Freedom Jazz Dance" is very cool with polyrhythmic and staccato playing.
