The first album by Minako Ito, a Japanese female singer and songwriter, was released in 1982. All songs are composed by Ito and arranged and produced by Masataka Matsutoya. Tatsuo Hayashi, Hideo Yamaki, Tsugitoshi Goto, Kenji Takamizu, Masaki Matsubara, Jin Kirigatani and many other talented session musicians participated. According to Wikipedia, she started composing at the age of 15 under the influence of Mayumi Itsuwa and Mariko Takahashi. The melancholic sense of melody with minor chords and Ito's somewhat shady voice are more adult pop than city pop. This is a very good album and the performances are excellent, especially A5. If you like moody/adult pop, this is for you.
