Minimal Compact, an Israeli new wave group consisting of Berru Sakharof, Malka Spigel, Max Franken, Rami Fortis and Samy Birnbach, emerged in the indie rock/post-punk scene in the 1980s. Minimal Compact's first album was released on Crammed Discs in 1982. This is a decadent dark new wave album with simple electronics, gothic punk elements, and phrases with an exotic atmosphere that only an Israeli band can create.
