An album released in 1972 by Monty Alexander, a jazz pianist representing the reggae powerhouse Jamaica, on the German label MPS. The quartet features a piano trio with Duffy Jackson (bass), Eugene Wright (drums), and the renowned percussionist Montego Joe. This masterpiece features light and lively performances of Latin-arranged standards and original compositions by Alexander, including a standout groovy rendition of Miles Davis's modal jazz classic "So What" on B3, played with a bright touch. Highly recommended. This is a reissued domestic edition with different artwork from the original.
