This album, released in 1975 on the Whynot label under the production of Masahiko Yu, features Muhal Richard Abrams, an American jazz pianist and one of the founders of The Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM). The entire album consists of solo performances on the acoustic piano, starting with A1, which is filled with a positively energetic vibe that resonates joyously. A2 follows, where beautiful and powerful melodies cascade like a squall, stirring emotions. This outstanding work allows us to fully appreciate Abrams' talents, not only as a performer but also as a composer. He exudes a special presence alongside Joe Bonner and Dollar Brand. Highly recommended.
